I use a vim + tmux combo all the time. It’s good. Can’t say it’s ideal, but the best thing with it is the ability to adjust environment to exactly what you need. There are some difficulties however, and one of the main problems for new users is to figure out how to copy in tmux into the clipboard.
Ember or Angular? What do you use? Ember is more integrated with rails, but angular more popular. Which one is better, should we use ember or angular in future projects?
Do you wonder, if implementing disqus on rails application is hard? I was wondering it as well when starting my rails blog, and here is the answer. Nothing is easier, if you use the proper gem, however in my case, choosing the gem wasn”t the biggest problem. The main question wasn”t: ”How to implement disqus”, but rather: ”do I really need it?”.
Nowadays, being productive is just not enough. No matter how good you are in programming today, to stay in the same place in the future, I need to improve my skills every single day. I need to think how to improve productivity in my work comparing to current level of efficiency in delivering code and how to get more from myself, in the same amount of time.
When your project grows up, especially if it is a startup, when all modules, and main assumptions of how it should work or how it should look like have been changed lot of times, there is a moment, when your styles become a mess.
Is there a way to avoid it? So, not really but we can soften it and make it simple to clean it up.
